Welcome to the KCS Website

We are a friendly choir, founded in 1986, which loves to welcome new people. We currently have about 80 members. We perform three concerts every year - at Christmas and Easter we sing major choral works.  In 2014 we sang Brahms 'Requiem' in March and Vaughan Williams 'Fantasia on Christmas Carols' in December.

Our summer concert is more informal - June 2014 we celebrated the Tour de France with a joyous sell-out concert - 'A Bicycle Made for Two'.  Summer 2015 we returned to King James's School for another sold out concert called 'It's a Grand Night for Singing'' on Saturday 27 June which featured songs from the shows with a finale of songs from the musical 'Carousel'.

For our 30th anniversary concert, on 2 July 2016, we were singing Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana' with Kings James's School Choir and Percussionists. This exciting event also celebrated the 400th anniversary of King James's School, Knaresborough.

We are proud to be a community choir for our beautiful town of Knaresborough.
